At Rushworth's Auto Repairs we have invested in the latest technology and training to deliver cutting edge full vehicle diagnostics. By plugging directly into your vehicles ECU (Engine Control Unit) we can take a reading of the data stored there. One of our expert technicians will then be able to make an accurate assessment of any of the faults detected within your vehicle.
Typically when an error is detected they show up as a warning light on the dashboard. You may also experience some of the symptoms of a faulty ECU itself, this can include things like: the engine check light coming on, engine stalling or misfiring, engine performance issues or your car might fail to start.
The ECU is an onboard computer that is connected to an array of sensors located around your vehicle. Your ECU is responsible for monitoring a number of systems including:
